CELEBRATING OUR UIL ACADEMIC CHAMPIONSHIP...
Back-2-Back UIL Championship shirts are now on sale! Order forms are in the upper campus front office. I am very proud of our students and coaches who made this possible. Let's show our school pride by wearing these around town!! Make sure that you have filled out a form and given it to Monica. Talk up these shirts to the kids please!

We will sell tickets through 8th period for 6th-8th graders, and homeroom for 5th graders. Ticket price is $2 per person. Teachers can collect money beginning Wednesday, and keep a record of who has paid. Those who have not paid will not be able to go watch the finals!

Counselor's Couch...
Our “Hoops for Hearts” 3-on-3 basketball tournament will be on Friday, February 19. We will run an assembly schedule for this event. The NJHS students are coordinating the event, and all proceeds will be donated to the American Heart Association. Thus far we have raised nearly $400. With those attending, we could reach $1,000 for a great cause.
Last week, the PSAT score reports were mailed to 8th grade students. For more information, please visithttps://secure-media.collegeboard.org/digitalServices/swf/college-ed/english/index.html. This is a great site that is produced and maintained by the College Board, and it has many resources for students of all ages. This link, as well as others, are also posted on the counselor website, which can be accessed from our school homepage. Please visit often, because resources are added regularly.
LVMS STUDENTS winning essayS...
Our first place winner was Natalie Adams. She received $100 and a certificate of excellence. Our honorable mention was Ashlyn Pasak. She received a certificate as well.
Both young ladies were invited and recognized at the Women's Club luncheon on Tuesday, February 9th. They will also be recognized at the February LVISD School Board Meeting.
Please start to review our supply list for next year...
It's almost baseball and softball season....
GT TAKES A FIELD TRIP TO MUSEUM...
In addition to the exhibition hall activities they enjoyed a live Planetarium show along with a movie showing how NASA created their Interstellar Boundary Explorer. The movie showed how the IBEX is collecting high-speed atoms to create a map of our Solar System boundary.
The students were challenged to create their own electromagnetic motors and a model of the skeletal system.
Bleacher Report...
Tennis and Track are up and running... and I guess in full swing!
LOOK......LOOK.......LOOK...... READ ME!!!
Our biggest issue right now are leggings...... Here is the part of the dress code that explains appropriateness.
Specific standards of dress are as follows:
1. Dresses and non-uniform clothing must be of sufficient length to allow for performing normal school functions without immodest exposure. All outer garments (skirts, shorts, dresses, shirts worn over tights, etc.) are required to be no shorter than six inches above the back of the knee. Spandex shorts, tights, and leggings are allowed ONLY with an outer garment that meets the six inches policy. Undergarments must not be visible. Garters and garter belts are considered undergarments.
