Thank you so much for supporting our Book Fair!!! Through your support our School Librarian, Emily Black, purchases new books to inspire the love of reading for our students. I, too, did my share of buying as a Grammie!! Love buying books! Thank you ALL!!!
The warm Chick-fil-a Biscuits hit the spot on this cold morning. Thank you to those who bought biscuits! It was a super tasty and delicious way to support our students!
Family Night for 1st, 3rd, and 5th grade students was a blast! Learning was showcased through art, writing, digital projects, evacuation plans, and more!!! Way to go Mustangs!!! First Grade sponsored their Starry Night, 3rd Grade sponsored problem based learning focused on Emergency Planning, and Fifth Grade hosted a Retro Red Carpet Evening! It was a FABULOUS night and we so appreciate the work of our students and teachers as well as the support of our parents!! It takes the whole team to bring success to our students and you did it!
It is amazing that we begin the month of March next week! March brings our Student Led Conferences (SLCs). These are conferences in which your child takes ownership of learning and leads the parent through the setting of goals and how growth has been made. Please remember that these are about the students and is not a parent-teacher conference. We sponsored school-wide parent-teacher conferences in October and encourage parents to schedule conferences with teachers throughout the year as needed. Our doors are always open to support our students.
Enjoy the weekend and please read a great book with your child or children while also remembering to go outside for some family exercise.

Note from the health room
As is expected at this time of year, we are still seeing plenty of cold and flu symptoms. You can help your student stay healthy by encouraging healthy eating, drinking plenty of water, and getting enough sleep. Students can also be reminded to cover their mouths when they sneeze or cough and to wash hands frequently. Reminders to avoid touching their faces are also helpful. Students should not attend school within 24 hours of having a temperature over 100 (without medication) or vomiting. Thank you for helping us take good care of your Mustangs!
