KAES Valentine Luau Planned for February 9th
February the 9th is only about a week away. Make sure you reserve your tickets for the banquet now. If you haven't attended the KAES Valentines party before I assure you that it is always an amazing event. It really is a wonderful way to celebrate Valentines in a safe and family friendly environment with your KAES friends. We hope to see you there!
Elementary Lady Eagles Win Tri-District Championship
Congratulations to the elementary Lady Eagles who won not only their division this season but also won 1st place in the tri-districts championship. They played so well this season, all the while representing KAES with good sportsmanship.
$250,000 Matching Gift
Friends, we have a very special announcement. We have received a very unexpected gift from an anonymous donor. An incredibly generous donor has agreed to match all donations up to $250,000. That means every dollar donated will be DOUBLED. In other words, a $5 donation will become $10 and a $100 donation will become $200! We are so grateful to share this amazing opportunity and we're asking you to get involved. If you were planning to make a donation, now is the time. If you were planning on talking with a friend or relative about being part of this project, now is the time. Financial gifts are still coming in from our mailing campaign and now they also are being matched dollar for dollar. Spread the news that now is the best time to give to the KAES gym campaign!
Last Tuesday KAES celebrated its 100th day of school. Each classroom celebrated in their own way, from aging to 100 or counting to 100 in every way imaginable. It was a great day and a great reason to celebrate.
KAES Kids Sabbath
This Sabbath is KAES Kids Sabbath at the Keene Church. Many of your children are participating in our church services. I invite you to join us in worship at 9:00am and 11:30am as we support these kids. We want to encourage them as they serve and share in God's work.
Help Wanted
KAES is looking for an additional person to help with After School Care. We are seeking someone who can work at least three days a week after school (3:15pm) until approximately 6pm. The ideal person will be punctual and enjoy working with kids of all ages. If you are interested or know of someone who would be interested, please contact Mr. Coulter through the school office at 917-645-9125.
8th Grade Students and Families: Yearbook Info Needed
Today your eighth grader went home with some information about yearbook. Here is a summary of the information so that you know what we need from you.
1. No yearbook would be complete without a baby picture of each of our eighth graders. Please submit a picture by February 14.
2.(OPTIONAL) There is an opportunity to place a 1/4 page congratulations to your child. Submit a message two ways: a)Create your own message/artwork within a 5x7 area, or b)Submit text with photo(s) and leave the design to the yearbook staff. You can email entries to yearbook@kaes-sda.org
All entries need to be turned in to Mr. Weaver by the end of school on Friday, February 14. If choosing option two please submit checks at same time and make checks payable to KAES and note "Yearbook Fund".
