Hazeldale Hawk

School Newsletter — November 20th, 2019

Note from the Principal

Dear Hazeldale Families,

Our staff is really excited about Family Game Night tomorrow night. A friendly reminder that your child needs to stay with you and your family. The night is designed for you to try out the games together as a family, along with other families of Hazeldale. If your child is off without an adult, staff members will ask them to find you and to remain with you. This is true for all family events at Hazeldale, your child is under your supervision at family events. Thank you for reminding your child of those expectations prior to coming tomorrow!

One of the stations for Family Game Night involves many games you can play with a deck of cards. Below please find the attachment of the handout that will be provided, for those of you that are like me and want to save the document electronically!

EVERY FAMILY THAT ATTENDS GETS TO

TAKE HOME A GAME!

  • Game will be sent home with your child following the event!
  • You have to come and turn in your wish list/feedback sheet in order to receive a game, however.

Playing board games, card games, and any other fun games are ways to connect with other people in a lighthearted way while also developing critical thinking skills such as memory, strategy, literacy, arithmetic, visual patterns, and more.

Besides, who doesn’t love playing games? I love games. I think all kids love games.

Games are just plain fun.
