LIBRARY BOOKS
Tuesday is the last day to turn in missing books or pay fines!
Please make sure your child drops off any overdue library books at the library before the last day of school.__
ACTIVITY DAY
The “Good Behavior Activity” for the months of May & June will be Activity Day.

There will be a variety of activities offered to students such as watercolor painting, Frisbee golf, beach ball volleyball, and more!
**There will be some activities that will involve water. Please feel free to send a change of clothes for your student, should they choose to get wet during an activity.
Students should not come in swimsuits. They can get wet in shorts and t-shirts.
Be sure that your child’s library books have been returned, or their library fines have been paid. Students with missing library books, unpaid fines, or a citation will not be able to participate in Activity Day.

SUMMER SCHOOL FYI
Grades 1-8 (current grades K-7) will go to CK Price this year for Summer School.
Summer School starts on June 13th and goes to July 7th from 8:00 am-2:30 pm.
Summer School is a Monday - Thursday program (No camp on Fridays).
There will also be no school on July 4th.
During Summer School, breakfast and lunch will be served.
Second Chance Breakfast will also be offered to students who were unable to get breakfast in the morning.
Students can be dropped off at 7:30 am and picked up at 2:30.
Applications for Summer School can be picked up at the student's school.

If the absence is not cleared within 3 days, it will be marked unexcused.

Attendance and Absenteeism
All students are required to attend school daily according to state law. The only legal exceptions for absence from school are personal illness, medical necessity, court appearance, and funeral services for a member of the immediate family.
Attendance Improvement Program
When students have three unexcused absences or when the student's parent excused ‘illness’ absences reach 10 (ten), a notification will be sent to the parent. If this attendance pattern does not improve, students may be referred to the Attendance Improvement Program requesting their assistance.The AIP may take any of the following actions:
a. Place the parents on a formal district attendance improvement contract.
b. Refer the matter to the District Attorney's office for adjudication.
