Meet our Staff MVP of the Week ~ Mrs. Jackie Wagley, Instructional Aide
Mrs. Wagley and her husband have 2 children, 3 grandchildren, and a cat. In her spare time, Mrs. Wagley enjoys going to casinos, walking, reading, doing puzzles, and visiting her Mom ("We are best friends"). The most interesting place she has traveled to was Missoula, Montana, by way of train. She went to Glacier National Park and the International Divide and hiked the mountains.
Some of Mrs. Wagley's Favorites:
Color ~ Red
Movie ~ The Notebook
TV Show ~ The Blacklist
Book ~ Mysteries
Music ~ Oldies
Flower ~ Rose
Restaurant ~ Stone Creek
Candy ~ Reese's Peanut Butter Cups
What is a teacher/student moment you remember fondly? "I asked a student to start counting at one and count as high as she could go. She started raising her hand and went up to her tip toes raising her hand until she got to about "20" before I realized she was trying to get higher!"
Advice for parents? "Read daily! Point out things when you're in a car. Ask questions - "Why do you think...?" Never pass up a teaching moment. Talk during dinner to them. Count out vegetables. Make learning FUN!!!"
Mrs. Rogers, who has worked with Mrs. Wagley says, "Jackie is such a valuable assistant to kindergarten. She is wonderful at a lot of things, but especially working with those who struggle learning their letters and their sounds. She has a way of helping them "get it." I really appreciate all of Jackie's help."
Mrs. Kennedy, Kindergarten teacher had this to say about Mrs. Wagley: "Jackie is always willing to do whatever is necessary to benefit the kids! She is enthusiastic and eager to help at all times."
"Jackie Wagley has been an inspiration to work with. She is always such a joy to be around and has helped me out tremendously. She is truly loved by all the children. There are many things we would not be able to do in Kindergarten without her. I am very appreciative for all the times she has gone above and beyond for our Kindergarten students. " Says Miss Landis, Kindergarten teacher.
The Golden Tray Goes to..........................................

January Value of the Month Student ~ Ryan Siereveld
Mrs. Slone wrote, "Ryan is a great leader in the classroom and his personality is contagious. Ryan always has a smile on his face, treats others the way he would want to be treated and is very respected by his fellow classmates and teachers. He is a pleasure and joy to have in class and brings countless knowledge to classroom discussions that his fellow classmates and teachers love to hear. I can count on him to always give his personal best in the classroom and help students when they ask without complaining."
Congratulations Ryan!

Transportation & Dismissal Info
All car riders arriving in the morning should be dropped off in our car rider lane NOT in our Visitor Parking lot. This ensures they are not crossing over any traffic. If you child is being dropped off late an adult must come into the office with them to sign them in.
If your child rides the bus to school and will be eating breakfast in the cafeteria please talk to them about going straight to the cafeteria to get their breakfast. This will give them the most time to eat a healthy breakfast possible.
Dismissal Changes:
- If you need to change your child's dismissal instructions the best way to do this is to send a signed note into your child's teacher.
- If this is impossible please call the office NO LATER THAN 3:00 p.m. to ensure the dismissal change gets to your child's teacher in a timely matter.
Transportation:
If you are permanently changing how your child goes home or if you move please notify our office at 317-839-4802, as well as Transportation at 317-838-3632, and submit a new Transportation Form to the office.
