Varsity Girls Soccer
This past week, the Varsity Girls Soccer team was hard at work! On Wednesday, the girls had a game against Armada. Unfortunately, they lost 2-0. Congratulations to Ashley Hickmott on her 14 saves! The girls have their next games on Monday, May 3 against Yale, and Wednesday, May 5, against Algonac. Great job, ladies, and keep up the great work!
Varsity Softball
This past week, the Varsity Softball team had all but one of their games canceled. The one game that they were able to play was on Wednesday at home against Memphis. The first game of the doubleheader ended in a 4-3 loss for the girls. The second game, however, was a 7-5 victory for the Lady Cardinals.
This week, the girls are scheduled to head to CPS on Monday, followed by Deckerville at home on Thursday. Hopefully, the weather is on their side this week, good luck ladies!

Random Student Spotlight
Kaitlynn Knuth
Kaitlynn Knuth is a seventh grader who has been coming to Dryden since she was two. Her favorite thing about Dryden is it is small so you know everybody. Kaitlynn participates in Volleyball, Basketball, and Cross Country. Kaitlynn likes to spend her free time hanging out with her family at the local church. She is also on a dance team and records on the cameras at the church. Kaitlynn is looking forward to going to college in Florida so she can pursue her dream career, which is marine mammal training, but she is also called to preach. Kaitlynn says the hardest thing about COVID is not being able to travel as much. Kaitlynn would like us to know God has a plan for all of us. Even when we feel alone, He is right by our side.
Daniel Kreiner
In our random student spotlight this week is Daniel Kreiner! Daniel is a Freshman who is experiencing his first year at Dryden. His favorite thing about Dryden is its academics. Daniel’s hobbies include art, skateboarding, and gaming, but he rarely has free time because of his job and because he is an intern at his church. After high school, Daniel plans on attending a community college and then possibly transferring to a university to pursue his dream career of becoming an evangelical pastor and traveling around the United States. Daniel would like you to know that he is a cool dude, sometimes.
