GSCS Counselors Monthly Update
October 2022- Sandra Long, Counselor Coordinator
Making it Count....With a Little Pumpkin Spice and Football ☕️
It's time for sweater weather, pumpkin spice everything, and college football. I LOVE FALL! I am thankful for the work you are doing. The number of services you are providing to the students is impressive. Every time you equip students with the skills needed to persevere, handle conflict, and set goals, you are changing the trajectory of those students' lives. Don't forgot the important role you play.
You Science is underway, transition visits have been planned, and high school senior meetings should be wrapping up. Look at the important dates and take advantage of workshops provided by YouScience, GADOE, and CTEARN if you need to sharpen your skills. Enjoy your fall break if I don't see you before then.🌰 🍂
Thank you to Tiffiany Simmons and Wendy Whedon, Brandon Bogues and Nikki Knight, and Michelle Stewart and Dr. Yvette Khan for facilitating the counselor collaboration sessions last week. All of these counselors are true leaders in our profession and I am so thankful they are part of our team.
