Electricity

Conductors, Semiconductors, and Insulators

Conductors- Are materials that freely allow the flow of electrons with very little resistance.

Ex. Water, Copper, Iron

Semiconductors- Do not allow electors to flow freely but do not directly stop them either.

Ex. Silicon (used in computer chips)

Insulators- Stops the flow of electrons with very high resistance.

Ex. Glass, Dry air, Rubber
