Message from Nicole Pease, Principal

Hello families, each day brings us a little closer to the start of school! We are looking forward to seeing you on Monday at 3:30 pm for our Meet and Greet, and for the first day of school on Tuesday! Music will be the first Special, and we are happy to welcome Mrs. Petrick back. Please remember to have you child wear (or bring) closed toe and secured shoes for recess. A change of clothes is always a good idea as lots of different accidents can happen. Have a wonderful rest of your weekend!

Kindergarteners visit DCS

Last week, Susan Ellingwood planned for the new Kindergarteners to meet each other, play on the playground, and tour their classroom. It was so sweet to see how excited the children were to start school!

Recycling

DCS is very invested in recycling! From food scraps for compost, to CDs created into the fence art pictured below. As a result, we have paper, cardboard, plastic, and glass that needs to be taken to the transfer station. We usually have two boxes of paper and a few other items. We would really appreciate a volunteer to transport the recycling to the dump either weekly or biweekly. If you are able and willing to take on this important job, that would be wonderful! Please call the school 563-8332, or email myself or Jo-Ann. Thank you!
