Spring 2013 Events

at SDSU's School of Theatre, Television, and Film

After a fun and cold winter break, the School of Theatre, Television, and Film welcomes you back to a new and exciting semester! We look forward to seeing you at all of our Spring events!

This semester starts with a BANG! with the Theatre department's production of Crimes of the Heart, winner of the 1981 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. This Southern Gothic play is a comedy that follows three eccentric sisters as they grapple with a whirlwind of unfortunate events after one shoots her husband in Mississippi.

Following this hilarious and touching tale is A Little Night Music by Tony Award winner Stephen Sondheim. With a stunning score entirely in Waltz time, this musical is an elegant adaptation of Ingmar Bergman's Smiles of a Summer Night. A Little Night Music is full of hilariously witty and heartbreakingly moving moments of adoration, regret, and desire.

And don't forget about the Student Film Festival and Filmmakers Showcase where you can see the next generation of visionaries screen their films. SDSU filmakers have been featured everywhere from Sundance Film Festival to ComicCon and have won awards and accolades including Emmys and Top 10 lists by Rolling Stone magazine.
