Spring 2013 Events
at SDSU's School of Theatre, Television, and Film
This semester starts with a BANG! with the Theatre department's production of Crimes of the Heart, winner of the 1981 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. This Southern Gothic play is a comedy that follows three eccentric sisters as they grapple with a whirlwind of unfortunate events after one shoots her husband in Mississippi.
Following this hilarious and touching tale is A Little Night Music by Tony Award winner Stephen Sondheim. With a stunning score entirely in Waltz time, this musical is an elegant adaptation of Ingmar Bergman's Smiles of a Summer Night. A Little Night Music is full of hilariously witty and heartbreakingly moving moments of adoration, regret, and desire.
