Spirit Week December 14-18
Check out the following message from SMS Student Council President, Camden Smith:
Hey there SMS! The Student Council realizes that because of Covid-19 and having virtual classes, school isn’t super fun. It is a bit more stressful and a little more boring. So, we have decided to put on a school spirit week! It will take place from December, 14th-18th. It will be Christmas themed and lots of fun.
Here are the themes for each day:
Monday- Cowboy Christmas
Tuesday- pajama/onesies
Wednesday- Christmas Kahoot for prizes (will be posted to the Community Page)
Thursday- Hawaiian Christmas
Friday- ugly Christmas sweater
Please upload a photo of yourself all dressed up to the Community Page Discussion when you do your daily engagement check. You may also attend your virtual google meets with accessories from the previous themes. All clothing must be school appropriate. The Student Council can’t wait to see you showing your school spirit next week!

Google Meet Schedule
The link was also posted in ParentSquare and on the SMS Community page in Canvas.
Participation in the Google Meets is expected. We understand that most students have 2.5 hours of meets each day as well as some additional time to complete work outside of the meet schedule. The total time involved each day should not typically exceed the 7-hour school day. Please feel free to communicate with the teachers and/or Mrs. Hammons if the academic expectations are consistently taking more than that amount of time.
