Home of the Ravens
Ravenwood embodies community and thrives from the interconnected support system of Eagle River. Outdoor education, the arts, and the use of technology are all integrated into the academic experiences students are offered to optimize engagement, creativity, and independent learning.
Land Acknowledgement
We would like to acknowledge that our school is on the traditional lands of the Dena'ina Athabascan people. It is with gratitude and respect that we recognize the past and present contributions of Alaska's first people. Chin'an (thank you)
Dear Ravenwood Families,
HAPPY SPRING!! Can you believe we are already on the heels of April?! We are in full swing of the fourth and final quarter which promises to be busy and eventful – just take a look at the calendar section below and know we are adding to it daily. The best way to keep up with what is happening at Ravenwood is to check our website calendar frequently.
Despite the welcome increase in daylight and warmer temperatures, it is STILL important to maintain student homework habits and good sleep habits. This will be especially important to ensure your children perform their best on all the assessments we have this last quarter, which will include the new AK STAR for 3rd – 10th graders across the state. We have bolded the assessment dates in the calendar, so you can add these to your home calendars and try to schedule appointments outside these dates for your children to avoid them having to do make-ups. We really appreciate your support and help to keep students coming to school alert and ready for the learning, so they can finish strong!
Please “dig in” to this newsletter to learn more about upcoming events and see some fun photos of recent events! PLEASE take a few minutes to complete the School Climate and Connectedness Survey, if you haven’t already, and please reach out if you have any questions or celebrations. I hope to see you at our first March Madness Hoop Shoot Fundraiser on March 30th.
Joyfully,
Kim Bautista
Congratulations Mrs. Teri Stover!
