Why does the Nile River floods?how the Egyptian control the Nile Floods? How long is the Nile river?

Why the Nile River Floods?

Egypt is mostly desert so when it rains the Nile River will not flood because Egypt get little or no rain each year. The Nile Floods because in the south of the Nile it gets more rain than in the north. When the Nile floods it brings in slit (fertile soil with small rocks). There is three season of Nile called the inundation, growth, and harvest.

How the Egyptian control the Nile's Floods

The Egyptians control the Nile floods by using canals. Canals are human-made water ways. Canals connect these basins to a network of ditches. They also use the water for farming by irrigation.

How long is the Nile River

The Nile River begins at central Africa and runs 4,000 miles north to the Mediterranean Sea, making it the longest river in the world. The Nile River in 2 miles wide in diameter.
Because of the Nile River floods without it all of Egypt will become into a desert. Due the heavy rain at the central Africa were many rain forest are located it leads to masses amount of flooding
