Personality & Culture
Personality acts as the differences among individuals
Personality is a set of behavioral and cognitive characteristics, traits or predispositions that people take with them in different situations, contexts, and interactions with others (Matsumoto & Juang, 2012).
The relationship between culture and personality is explained by the Five Factor Model(FFM). The FFM is built around five personalities that are universal for all humans.
Although these traits are present in all cultures, there are specific cultural influences that to affect the degree of the trait in the person.
