Great thing, you can update your information at any time if something changes, and next year, you will just be able to confirm your data with a click of a button! Households that do not want their info displayed in the directory can still sign up and specify that they want their info hidden. The more complete this database is, the more applications we can use with like volunteer and event sign ups, making access easy with one location.

So, please join! After you enter your data, you will receive an email with your login credentials. If you have any questions, please contact Sheneen Daniels.

Volunteer Background Checks for Asheville City Schools

As a volunteer, you are an important part of the school community. When you become a volunteer, your work takes on special significance -- though you are not part of the staff, you share the same responsibilities that paid staff are held to while engaged with students. If you plan on volunteering at Claxton this year, THANK YOU! Please click on the link below to complete a background check. This background check is required for anyone who may work in the classroom, serve as reading and math tutors, extracurricular coaches, mentors, and overnight field trip chaperones. It only takes a couple of minutes to fill out the information, and once it is returned (usually within a week), you are all set to go.

Box Tops 4 Education

Did you know that the money that Claxton receives from the Box Tops 4 Education program directly benefits Coach Swain's PE program?! Claxton is ALWAYS collecting Box Tops, and we want your help!

You can start by clipping the Box Tops off approved products you already have in your pantry. You don't need to clip the actual product UPC — just the Box Tops logo will do. From frozen foods to produce and household cleaning products, there are literally hundreds of opportunities to help, and each Box Top is worth 10 cents. Doesn't sound like a lot, but it adds up fast. Box Tops are collected in the clear plastic bears located in the front hallway and gymnatorium.

There are so many participating companies! Participating companies and product lines include General Mills, Green Giant, Totino's, Pillsbury, Old El Paso, Ziploc, Hefty, Juicy Juice, Betty Crocker and many more. Here is a link to the participating brands.

The Box Tops 4 Education program offers new discount coupons on popular brands each month and also offers benefits for online purchases! Click here to see this month's offers.

Clip those tops and lets fill those bears for Coach Swain!

Thank you to our 2017 Sponsor, Blue Ridge Pediatric Dentistry!
