Plans for the Week
Monday-Friday Morning Announcements
Guess the Dr. Seuss Book
-A short quote from a Dr. Seuss book will be read each morning during announcements. During the day, as students come to the library to check out books, they may stop at a table to guess which book the quote came from. There will be small forms for students to fill out, and one jar for each grade level for students to drop their guess in. One winner from each grade level will be chosen each day.
-Older classes will read with younger classes. Students can pair together and share a story. Afterwards, students can write a thank you note to their partner. Class partner assignments will be emailed shortly.
-Classes can watch an online story, and then create a circle map of favorite parts to hang in the hallway.
Some online story options are:

Guest Reader Day
-Guest readers from the community will visit classes to read a story. Once the guests are confirmed, we will share the schedule.
DEAR Day-Grade levels will specify the time that works best for them. Please get together as a team and choose a 20 minute portion of the day, then let us (Mrs. Nichols or Mrs. Gregory) know what time you will be dropping everything to read!
Country and Western Day- Following Ms. Tillery’s program, if time permits, students will watch video of story that is also a song and sing along (ex., I Know an Old Woman Who Swallowed a Fly, Ten Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed, What a Wonderful World, etc.)
