Quoi de neuf à ÉPK?
Week of March 11 to 15, 2019
Prayer for the first Sunday of Lent
God,
As we take this journey
That draws us ever closer to you
Walk with us
Sustain us,
Nurture us.
God, as we go through
The wilderness of lent and of our lives,
Send your manna to us,
give us wisdom to turn from temptation
And your grace to turn to.
God, as we walk through the pot holes of life,
The valleys, the pits of life,
Guide us with your hand
Keep our feet steady,
And our vision on you.
God, whether we choose to give up something for lent
Or do something positive,
Let us not do it out of obligation
Or the tyranny of oughtness,
But out of love for you.
Keep us in your paths of love, mercy and grace.
Lord help us to remember we are not alone
but that we are walking with our fellow/sister travelers . Amen

Week in Review
What a great week we just had! Monday was busy with all the excitement of our ''Carnaval d'hiver''. While students from every class were taking part in activities such as snow painting, tobogganing, snowshoeing, mask decorating, playing ''les cuillères'' and more, Mme Auger was getting busy cooking the delicious maple taffy that was then poured onto the snow for everyone to enjoy! In the afternoon, we had a special visit from musician and story teller, Monsieur Roger Dallaire, who let our classes in dance. A special thank you to all the parent volunteers who were present that day!
On Tuesday, our students were treated to a pancake breakfast organized by a parent volunteer group. What a great way to celebrate Shrove Tuesday! Thank you for all your help!
As Wednesday was Ash Wednesday, we all went to mass to celebrate the first day of Lent. Our ÉPK choir filled the church with their beautiful voices and we are so proud of them! Many thanks to Monsieur Holden and Mme Tétreault who prepared them for this event and to all the parents who were able to attend the mass with us.
And and this was also the first Wednesday of the month, we had our Theme Day: Twin Day. Thank you to our Leadership group for organizing this fun event!
I am very happy to be back with my ÉPK family. I would like to thank all of those who have prayed for my family during my absence and to Mme Dargis-Boucher who has so kindly filled in for me.
Many blessings,
Mme Lafrance
