From Mr. Relken...

It is hard to believe we are at the close of another school year! I want to thank all of you for your support and the trust that you place in us to care for your children every day. I have been a part of three amazing school communities in three different states. The parents and families here partner with us as well as anwyhere that I have been. I am proud to serve you and excited to grow along with you. Have a great and relaxing summer!

Upcoming dates:

I usually put important dates here. The big ones I want you to know about are the Oaktree office will be closed starting July 1st and reopen the 2nd week in August. The week of the 27th and the first week back in August we will be closed on Fridays. If you are coming by, please call ahead because after tomorrow it will just be me and Michelle and we might be away from of desks from time to time.

Watch D.O.G.S. is coming to Oaktree! Please put on your calendar September 15th at 5:00pm to join us for our Watch D.O.G.S. kickoff. If you have kiddos at Reid you might be familiar with it and the positive impact it has on kids. Watch D.O.G.S. is an opportunity for dad's, grandfathers, uncles, and other adult male role models to volunteer a day for your child's school. We look forward to having all our Goodrich guys hanging out with us at Oaktree and being Watch D.O.G.S.!

Genesee GO

Genesee Opportunity (GO) provides a stipend for ALL high school graduates to attend approved colleges and training institutions through funding from countywide tax dollars.

The Genesee Opportunity (GO) proposal will appear before voters in an election scheduled for Tuesday, August 2, 2016.

If voters approve ¼ mill (.25 mill) for 20 years, every Genesee County graduating senior would receive a jump start stipend toward the first year of further education and training.

Voter approval would provide $2.3 million dollars annually for the program.

Lily Robinson Commercial

Lily Robinson, a 5th grade at Oaktree just cut a commercial for a local orthodontist. I just thought it was pretty cool that she did this and wanted you to recognize that she is a Goodrich kid when you hear her on the radio this summer.
