Yamhill Carlton Intermediate School
We have officially made it through the first quarter of this unique school year. While it has been a learning experience for everyone, our understanding and growth in digital tools and strategies from the first 9 weeks of school will improve our teaching and learning for our students, staff and families.
This past week we have been conducting our DIBELS testing in grades 4th-6th. This is a reading fluency assessment that we administer three times a year. We will use these data points to track students and develop appropriate intervention to increase skills in literacy. Our students are to be commended on accomplishing this task in a CDL environment.
Parent Teacher Conferences are on the horizon. Conferences are scheduled to be held on Monday November 23rd from 8:00am-8:00pm and on Tuesday from 8:00-12:00. Conferences will be held digitally and grade level teachers will be reaching out to families to schedule a time. Remember other than Parent Teacher Conferences there is no school the week of 11/23-11/27
