Michigan School Finance Study
The School Finance Collaborative is a broad based statewide, Kellogg Foundation-funded, bipartisan group of business and educational leaders working to determine through solid research methodologies the amount of funding needed to support an adequate education for every child no matter their location or circumstance. Building off the recent school finance study conducted in Michigan, the collaborative is seeking stakeholder input to inform next steps in studying the funding needs of our schools.
We are sending this survey out across the state in order to collect as much K-12 input as possible to inform the RFP. Please take 10 minutes to follow the link below to share your perspective and voice.
Click here to access the finance study. The survey will close on February 28, 2017

Moving Toward Solutions Conference - Workshop and/or Poster Abstracts Wanted
For the first time in its nine-year history, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services is seeking abstracts for the 2017 conference. Abstracts will be considered for breakout sessions and/or poster presentations that address best practices in the field, especially new program developments and research. The Planning Committee believes it is important to share the tools, resources and success stories that exist throughout Michigan and we are hopeful that the abstract process will enhance this opportunity.
Please take a moment to review the Abstract Guidelines and consider whether you and/or your colleagues have a project or program that would be of interest to our audience. The deadline to submit an abstract is February 1, 2017. To do so, please read the Guidelines carefully and then submit the Abstract Submission Form and the abstract itself. The abstract must be submitted as a Word document, not in PDF format. The abstract contact person will be notified by mid-March of the review committee’s decision.
If you have any questions on content, please contact Kara Anderson, conference chair (andersonk10@michigan.gov).
