Gifted Update

Week of August 16th

Welcome Back!

Dear students and families,

I hope you're as excited as I am about the 2021-2022 school year! It's been wonderful to see everyone back in the building the past couple of weeks!

For those of you new to the View, my name is Kali Hamill, and I am the Gifted Resource Teacher. Some of my responsibilities during the year include:

-meeting with students to discuss goals

-providing enrichment opportunities

-hosting informational events

-serving as a mentor for Virtual Virginia students

-guiding students through the independent study process

-and most importantly, partnering with students and parents to promote and encourage student success.

As a participant in the high school gifted program, students are given access to the MVHS Gifted Canvas shell (coming soon). Newsletters, announcements, and resources are regularly posted in the shell, so visit it frequently for updated information.

If you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to contact me. Email is the easiest way to reach me. If you’re in the building you can find me upstairs in room 507 ( I share office space with Mrs. Gaddy, the IB Coordinator).

I am looking forward to working with you this year!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Hamill
