Wishing you a Happy Month of November
To all who have served and are serving - Happy Veterans Day
and Thank You for your Service
It's cold outside, but it's warm in my heart.
And the gray fall sky is His work of art.
Laden and low, quiet and still,
November is welcome, and my eyes drink their fill
Of brown-gray grass and red-orange leaves,
Of pavement winding through the strong, stately trees.
Down the hill, past the barn, past the gate, up the lane,
The house with bright candles in each window pane.
Now I step inside; oh, it's warm! Oh, that smell!
Hot turkey roasting, potatoes done well!
Sweet, spicy cider, and warm winter wine
Cranberry sauce - Oh! - the flavors - divine!
The smiles and hugs are so warm and sweet.
In this cold gray November, a Thanksgiving treat.
I do love it all and am so thankful; yes,
For this lovely season...I am truly blessed.
-Rick W. Cotton
On November 20, 1938, Edgar Cayce was asked to give a reading for Study Group #1 to give them a greater appreciation of the true spirit of Thanksgiving. It was a challenging time, with different issues including a looming war. The world was filled with hatred, fear, and uncertainty. I would like to paraphrase the text of Reading 3976-21. Although Thanksgiving is a holiday unique to the American spirit, the idea of giving thanks is a universal theme celebrated the world over, transcending social and cultural boundaries. My hope is that it will fill you with inspiration and a deeper appreciation of Thanksgiving.
The reading began with the importance of finding a daily appreciation of life itself, the ebb and flow, the opportunities for spiritual growth offered to us through our interaction with all those we meet. Cayce stated that the Creative Forces, often referred to as God, are in constant motion, working through us to facilitate a deeper appreciation of all things.
He reminds the group to remember and honor the lives and experiences of the special group of souls who refused to waver in their purpose and ideals of establishing a nation built upon equality and freedom. Those colonists who first shared land with the local natives were constantly reminded not to just be thankful on days of plenty, but also the importance of remaining thankful in times when in each moment they were given only what was sufficient for that day. In those trying times, it was essential that they remember to give thanks for all the joys, the sorrows, the disappointments, and the hopes for the future.
Cayce reminds us that we are the torchbearers, the chosen ones to carry on the American spirit by working together for peace. We are encouraged to give thanks for our differences, and find strength in our diversity. We are a global family with a shared ideal of unity, cooperation, and mutual respect. This idea of Thanksgiving must be in the mind and heart of each soul, as we respect all of our unique paths and embrace opportunities to support each other. It is not by judging and condemning our political leaders that we will find our answers, but rather in daily Thanksgiving for the opportunity to participate in the process that helps create and evolve an ideal-driven experiment that is the United States of America.
In this great country, we are given opportunities—ones not afforded to much of the world—to put into practice the ideals our country was initially founded upon. This is the true spirit of Thanksgiving: to give thanks for the chance to lift the spirits of those around us who have lost focus, and those who have become unappreciative of our opportunities and the basic freedoms we enjoy. Thanksgiving is a reminder that every day is an opportunity to rededicate ourselves to an ideal-driven life full of purpose and passion; a day to remind us to see the living God in all that we encounter on our path. A day when each of us may give thanks for simply being alive!
As we give thanks—in the spirit of love, truth, patience, and compassion—we will receive the gift of greater awareness and understanding. Our lives will fill with the fruits of our labor, wisdom, and depth of clarity in our purpose for being alive now. Synchronicities will provide guidance and light our path.
Cayce reminds us of the ideals established in the early days of the American colonies: “In this land you may give praise for freedom of speech, for the opportunities to raise your voice in whatever way and manner you choose…Then, as you give thanks, as you give praise to your friends for kindnesses, for gentleness, for those things that make your experience more bearable in a cruel world… Let your heart then be glad.” (From reading 3976-21)
Far too often, I find myself forgetting to appreciate the basic human rights acknowledged in our country’s constitution. I always have to take a step back and extend my heartfelt prayers to all those at home and around the globe suffering from oppression, discrimination, and inequality—as I also remember to forgive myself for any oppressive acts and remain open-minded and of service to all who are in need. I also want to give thanks to all those who selflessly step in to protect the many freedoms we enjoy in our beautiful nation; all the servicemen and women who work tirelessly to protect our basic rights. As individuals, we may label ourselves insignificant, but this could not be further from the truth. As we bring change in the hearts of individuals, we enact change on a large scale.
I strive daily to maintain an attitude of gratitude—thankful for the blessings received, but also thankful for the struggles I encounter, for these are opportunities to grow in depth of awareness. Only by applying what we have learned, can we find deeper meaning in life and strengthen our purpose, opening ourselves to a life of greater love and compassion.
These days, we are all so busy and stretched to the limit; it is difficult to take time to think about all that we have to be thankful for. Take some time this November, pause for a moment, and reflect on the good things in your life. I am thankful for the roof over my families head, a thriving child, a wonderful marriage and of course having a job. I am also thankful for the little things like helping my son make decisions as to what he is going to wear to school and how he wants his haircut. I am thankful for his school that places library books at the front of the school so I do not have to go inside. I am thankful for short lines in the grocery store. Gratitude attracts many of the things we are thankful for. Expressing gratitude can be done in many different ways such as writing things down that you are thankful for in a journal. For me the greatest form of gratitude is to give a heartfelt “thank you” to someone else.
October brought leaves turning bright colors and the start of falling leaves in our area. Nothing says autumn quite like a lazy drive through the mountains with the sun illuminating oranges, reds, and yellows amongst the treetops. It gives us a breath of fresh air and a moment of feeling in awe. Our son loves to stop at a countryside store in the mountains that has a small deli in it. He orders a ham sandwich, which is piled high between two pieces of bread and a side order of chips. We then head outside and sit on one of the picnic tables and take in the fresh air and beauty of the mountains. We headed south for a family reunion. The food and company was exceptional while yet practicing social distancing. Halloween arrived and our son dressed as SCP-049. He did pretty well collecting candy most of which he will give away. It could not have been a more beautiful evening with the full moon shining and temperatures very mild to cool. As October exits and November enters we look forward to the holidays and lots of family time. Happy November.

The Moon reaches peak fullness in the morning hours of Monday, November 30, at 4:30 AM EST. November’s full Moon was called the Beaver Moon by a number of Native Americans and colonial Americans. Traditionally, some Native American groups used the monthly Moons and nature’s corresponding signs as a calendar to track the seasons. Why this name? This is the time of year when beavers begin to take shelter in their lodges, having laid up sufficient stores of food for the long winter ahead.

Questions and Counsel
I am in love with someone else’s boyfriend. I feel like I should tell him but I feel bad. I do not know what do to, so I sit on the sidelines and watch.
Lonely in Love
Hi Lonely in Love,
I appreciate your question being short and to the point. It speaks to your pain and confusion. Rather than focusing on what you should do, let's focus on what you shouldn’t do.
- Judge yourself for how you feel. In situations like this it is easy to tell yourself you are “wrong” to feel this way, or how you feel is “bad.” How you feel is simply how you feel. So you are in love with someone else’s boyfriend…human things happen.
- Invalidate your feelings. There is so much truth in how you are feeling, and usually a bigger picture to be explored. Ask yourself, “why am I in love with someone who is unattainable, unavailable, who isn’t in a position to value me?” and what does that say about you and how you are currently loving yourself.
- Scheme to end the relationship. This one is simple - do you ultimately want to be with someone who leaves his girlfriend for someone else? Or cheats? Or uses another woman on the side to fulfill unmet emotional needs?
You’re in a tough, emotional spot and I understand that. I appreciate your honesty and vulnerability. This part you just have to appreciate is if it is meant to be then it will be. Live your life, love yourself fearlessly, make plans to take the world over, and see what happens. I don’t have to be psychic to know who you are meant to be with is someone great, even if it’s not him.
Light in Love,

Situated between the eyes, the brow or third eye chakra deals with intelligence and psychic power. It is the seat of psychic vision.
Physically, it is located between the two eyebrows and is often symbolized by the symbol for the syllable OM with a petal on both sides each.
The third eye chakra governs the pituitary gland, nose, eyes, ears, sinuses, pineal gland, autonomic nervous system and skeletal system. It is related to the senses of sight and hearing, and to your ability to perceive and form your own opinions about what you see and how you live.
This chakra plays an important role in making you see things clearly, not only physically, but also morally, and even intuitively.
The pineal gland secretes a hormone called melatonin which plays a role in regulating your sleep cycle, regulating growth, slowing down aging and maintaining a stable mind. Scientists have also revealed that the earth’s electromagnetic field is responsible for stimulating the gland.
An imbalance in this chakra can cause trouble in understanding reality and creating your own reality. You may rely too much on fate or luck and blame them if something wrong happens. Migraines will cause you trouble, and there will be a constant feeling of anxiousness. You will worry about social behaviors and you may also want to dominate or control others as well. You may also experience blindness, glaucoma, cataracts, sinus issues, migraines and insomnia.
The third eye chakra plays a role in governing alertness, as well as your ability to see things clearly and predict things, to be optimistic and visualize outcomes that you desire.
This chakra is responsible for creating your realities and being able to form perceptions about reality. When this chakra is in balance, you will be able to visualize easily and your memory and ability to reason become sharp. You will trust yourself and be able to form and rely on your intuitions.
Affirmations- I open myself to know my inner guidance and deepest wisdom. I create clarity of mind and unlimited wisdom for myself. I live in the light of my truth and I accept what I know.
Crystals- amethyst, sapphire and tanzanite
Angel- Shekhinah, known as the feminine face of God. She helps us to honor the best part of people and brings us the ability to find our inner wisdom, beauty, power and healing abilities.
To heal the third eye practice sitting with your eyes closed and looking up and listen to binaural beats of 936 hertz to activate your pineal gland.
Facts about the Archangel Uriel
The Archangel Uriel, sometimes spelled Ureil according to teachings, is given two very important roles by God for humanity. God's heavenly messenger Uriel brings light to dark times and peace to lonely experiences. Do you need some light and peace today? The best and most helpful way to connect with God and His angels both the heavenly messengers and the archangels is to say a simple prayer. So if you feel you are in the dark that is filled with questions or you are indeed in a dark place, and you feel lonely then a prayer to archangel Uriel is your best move. In addition, you can simply talk to Uriel from your heart and ask for light and peace. In addition, you will get this angel's attention and Uriel will come to fill you with light, love and peace. As a result, say something like this: "Archangel Uriel I call to you in my need today. I seek your light and your peace to come to me and fill me this day. I thank you that you hear my prayer and you will answer me with what I need so I can feel your loving presence guiding and protecting me." Connecting with Gods archangels is easier than we often make it. Since God has given the world these heavenly messengers to come to us in our times of need and since God knows our needs even before we ask for help, then all we have to do is ask and believe,

There are few who would disagree: There has been a lot of stress in 2020!
This year has brought unprecedented challenges, surprising events, and a necessity to evolve or “make do” in ways that most of us could have never imagined. It can feel like there is something new every day, every hour, grabbing for attention. The thing about stress is that as much as it can feel like there is no escape from it, you have to find a way to alleviate it or it builds, affecting your health, relationships, and focus.
So, what should the stressed-out do in this crazy, conflicted, and chaotic year? The good news is that the old rules for dealing with stress still apply. Here are a few tips that you can start using today:
Focus on your physical health. It is much more difficult to handle challenges if you are not feeling your best. Take precautions against cold, flu, and COVID-19: Get a flu shot, wash your hands, and wear a mask when out in public. Eat a healthy diet full of fruits, vegetables, and whole foods. Exercise, as you are able and make sleep a priority.
Get outside. Studies have shown that even a few minutes outdoors each day can improve mood and lift anxiety. This is all the more important as we get further into fall and the days shorten.
Take a break from social media. Even for just a day! There are multiple studies that link prolonged social media use to anxiety, depression, and feelings of isolation. Add in a news cycle that just will not quit and these negative side effects can really start to take a toll!
Laugh! Instead of scrolling your newsfeed, might we suggest relaxing with your favorite comedy? Laughter has been shown to increase oxygen flow and promote a particular relaxation response in the brain. These effects can help to relieve pain and encourage more restful sleep.
Take a deep breath. While we all breathe, it is usually shallowly, utilizing only the upper portion of our lungs. Taking deep, purposeful breaths—especially those that go into the belly—can help to immediately focus thoughts and alleviate stress.
Move your body. When all else fails, move. Take a walk, clean, dance, wave your arms like you just do not care—what you do doesn’t matter. Any physical movement will do to get your mind off what is bothering you!
Gardening is a great way to move the body, and it gets you outside and offers many benefits to keep you and your family healthy. If you have a garden, you are likely winding it down from summer. These chores can include cutting back perennials, preparing the soil for spring planting, and creating a row cover to protect young seedlings from harsh weather.
Take care of yourself. Breathe in deep and relax as often as you can.
