SEL Activity: Positive and Negative Consequences
Activity:
This week's activity will help students think ahead to the positive and negative consequences of their choices. Students will be given a challenging situation and multiple choices of how to react. Based on both positive and negative consequences for each choice, they’ll decide on the best option.
PK-2
- Print 4 copies of the "Think Ahead" activity sheet.
- Complete one sheet per multiple choice option (a - d) as a class.
- Based on the positive and negative consequences for each choice, have the class decide on the best choice.
3-5
- Print 4 copies of the "Think Ahead" activity sheet and divide the class into 4 groups.
- Give each group one activity sheet and an assigned answer choice (a, b, c or d).
- Students work as a group to complete the positive/negative chart for their assigned answer choice.
- Each group shares their responses with the class.
- As a class, decide on the best choice.
