WCPSS 2015 United Way Campaign

Nov 18th-Dec 18th 2015

What the United Way of The Greater Triangle does...

Collaborative Community:

No longer simply a fundraiser, the United Way is a funder and community partner. A catalyst for change in the Triangle area with a solutions-oriented approach built on collaboration, innovation, and the power of a community united for good.

Changing Generations: Pathways to Progress for Families and Children:

A two-generational approach of supporting and building - not just funding - collaborative work that will help create, scale and sustain solutions that foster self-determination and generational success for adults and their children together.

Meeting Immediate Basic Needs:

Continued support for our most vulnerable populations in accessing their basic needs of healthcare, housing, and safety.

This component includes an initiative focused on building a food-secure community for all with an emphasis on ending childhood hunger.

**24 Collaboratives are in place currently across the region doing this work.**

WAKE Up and Read is a collaboration founded through the Wake County Public Schools along with multiple community partners to address the achievement gaps in literacy among economically disadvantaged students.

How Do I Pledge?

There are 2 ways to pledge. Remember, the smallest amount CAN make a DIFFERENCE!

  1. ONLINE - The campaign kicks off on November 18th and employees will receive an email from the United Way Campaign Committee with details about the campaign and a personalized link to login and give. Employees are encouraged to donate electronically, rather than on paper.
  2. See Scott Gaitan (Your "United Way Campaign Champion") to get paper forms if you do not have access to a computer. These forms need to be returned to me and I will send them to United Way when the campaign closes on December 18th.
