December 14 & 15: Clean Up Days
CGIS teachers and staff will utilize MCS digital days on Dec. 14 & 15 as “Clean up Days” to end our first semester together. We are planning to sweep out the corners of this COVID mess as we close up for Winter Break doing our best to ensure students can get work accomplished and ensure the best learning possible!
- Monday and Tuesday, December 14 & 15 are STILL SCHOOL DAYS. Don’t blow these off or allow your child to do so! Students who are notified by teachers as being elected for intervention or instruction MUST attend digitally. Not doing so will result in being marked absent each day.
- Your teachers will communication specific plans so all students and families will be informed of expectations. Please be on the lookout for that specific information from your teachers.
- Most teachers will be using these days as intervention and make-up days for all students including digital. This allows teachers and support staff to provide individualized supports and small group instruction, time for make-up work, test retakes, complete make-ups for CASE 21 assessments, etc. instead of juggling regular instruction and remediation/intervention at the same time.
- Some teachers may need to utilize those days for regular instruction for some classes that are behind on curriculum pacing. If that’s the case, teachers will communicate with appropriate students/families.
- CGIS staff will be on site following regular schedules, conducting meetings & regular school business for those two days so we recommend adhering to your daily schedule when supporting students on those days.
- PLEASE HELP- Thanks for all your help and support throughout this year. Please help us by ensuring your student participates as required in these upcoming digital days to end our semester together. Thank you for your positive efforts and supports!
