How TTSD Will Respond to Inclement Weather During Comprehensive Distance Learning
As we head into the winter months, we are putting plans in place to manage the challenges that come with hazardous weather. In a typical school year, snow days often result in school closures, early releases or delayed openings. We all know this is not a typical school year.
While we continue to be in comprehensive distance learning (CDL) TTSD will continue with the regular school day and schedule when snow or other weather-related challenges would normally close schools.
In the case of hazardous weather, the practice of evaluating conditions will continue to make responsible decisions regarding district operations and/or to close our buildings.
- The Superintendent will consult with administrators and announce any closures and/or alterations to the school schedule by 6 AM.
- When winter weather causes hazardous driving conditions, district buildings will be closed and in-building or on-campus activities will be canceled. This will include Limited-In-Person instruction, daycare programs, meal service, and other activities including athletic conditioning. Instruction, however, will continue uninterrupted.
- If conditions cause district-wide power outages or other unexpected complications that prevent our ability to instruct, school will be canceled.
Emergency announcements will be sent out via:
