HFRCS Newsletter SY 2022-2023

December 20, 2022 - Vol.2 Issue 17

From the Principal's Office

Dear Parents and Guardians,

In today’s newsletter, we recognize students who earned Honors for the first trimester. Academic Honors are a specific set of criteria determined by the school, that recognizes academic achievement in all areas of learning, academic subjects as well as special subject areas and areas of effort and conduct. Honors gives students something to strive for, but all good effort, no matter where a child is academically, is worthy of praise and affirmation. Congratulations to all students who did their best during the first trimester!

This week we are in school until Thursday, which is a full day of school. Transportation is available all week, but there will be no after school CARES on Thursday. Our Christmas break will extend into the New Year, and we return to school on Tuesday, January 3.

As we draw ever closer to the Nativity of our Lord, let us all give thanks and praise to our God, who came to earth to be among us, the greatest gift ever given. May we take the time to look for Jesus in one another, knowing that we are the face, hands, and feet of Jesus on earth. On behalf of our students, faculty, and staff, may all our Holy Family families experience the JOY of the season!

Sincerely Yours in Christ,

Mrs. Haggerty

Advent Service Project

We did not need to worry, God provides and so did our Holy Family Regional Catholic School family! Our Advent service project resulted in more than 200 toiletry bags accompanied by a loving note and candy cane. Every grade level played a part in compiling the bags. Student Council funded the candy canes and an item for each bag. Many thanks to Mrs. Raffin and Father Weber for delivering the bags to St. Francis Inn in Kennsington last Wednesday, December 14. Their director was so pleased as the bags were provided to individuals in need at their Christmas event on the same night.
