Children's Play: Tickets Now on Sale
Join H-F Theatre for this year's children's show, Miss Nelson is Missing, based on the beloved children’s book of the same name! Miss Nelson (Emma Leak) can't control her crazy classroom because she's just too nice. But when she disappears, her replacement is the hard-as-nails, detention-loving, recess-canceling, homework-overloading substitute teacher Viola Swamp! With the big test approaching, the kids suddenly realize how much they miss Miss Nelson and they'll do anything — including hiring a private eye, Detective McSmogg (Maleeyah Daggett) — to solve the mystery of her disappearance and bring her back. The show will run in the Mall Auditorium at 7 p.m. on Sept. 29 and Sept. 30; a matinee is offered at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 1. Tickets ($10/adult, $5/student/senior) are available now online. Click here to reserve your seats today!

Do you have preschoolers in your home or on your block? They, too, can attend H-F! The Little Vikings Preschool — a 40+ year tradition at H-F — will begin Tuesday, Sept. 27, in the North Building. The program is for children ages 3-5 and is supervised by Mrs. Pesha, CTE teacher, assisted by student-teachers from her Early Childhood Education classes. Fee is only $150 for the school year, which will run through May. See more details in graphic above; scan the QR code or click here for enrollment info. An open house for interested families is set for 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 20, at the North Building.

COVID Reporting Form
We are so happy to have our students back in person this school year! An important step to keeping school on track is to be sure to stay at home if you are not feeling well, especially if you are having COVID-19 symptoms or suspect you have COVID-19. If a student is COVID-19 positive, parents/guardians, please complete the District 233 COVID-19 Reporting Form (click here) for the Nurse's Office.
Above: Last Saturday was a big day in Flossmoor. The 3rd Hidden Gem Half-Marathon took place throughout town with Mile #5 running through the H-F campus and around North Building. Congratulations to all of the runners — including H-F teachers Mrs. McCabe, Mrs. Clark, Mr. Smit & Mr. Reid and Superintendent Dr. Wakeley — and thank you to the many student, staff and alumni volunteers for encouraging the runners and making our campus so welcoming that morning.
Below: In the afternoon on Saturday, the H-F Marching Band hurried over from the Gem to kick off Flossmoor Fest in downtown Flossmoor. They marched through in their new uniforms and played several songs, inspiring community members, families and future Vikings. Thank you to our students and Band directors and assistants for their extra efforts this weekend! Look for additional photos from this weekend on H-F's Facebook & Instagram pages.
