STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT

7th Grade Science Classes

7th Grade Advanced Science students built different structures to prevent beach erosion.

Ms. DelGaizo's Science Classes

Students in Ms. DelGaizo 7th grade Science Classes were WORKING TOGETHER using (4) pieces of Yarn and a rubber-band to build a pyramid with cups. Students learned ways to collaborate and communicate with classmates!

Green Team Social Studies

Ms. Wenzel, Ms. Eichinger, Ms. Scarpa, and Ms. Hauta's 7th grade Social Studies classes came together to discuss how and hwy blockbuster movies often embellish on historical facts. They then watched a short video about the Salem Witch Trials. To end the week with a little fun, the classes decorated cookies that resembled the Stereotypical Witch Hats. A HUGE thank you to Ms. Hauta, who baked over 150 cookies for our fun project!

Violence Awareness

Next week is Anti-Violence Week! Please participate in the following theme days!

Monday - Put Violence to Sleep! - Wear your pajamas

Tuesday - Turn your back to violence! - Wear your clothes backwards

Wednesday - Stomp on violence! - Wear sneakers to school

Thursday - Wear sweatpants and sweatshirt

Friday - Be a buddy! - Dress like a twin

Ms. Battersby and Ms. Hoffecker's Classes

Students in Ms. Battersby and Ms. Hoffecker's classes focused on self-care today by "walking for wellness."

Community Pride

Heavenly Hats

As part of a service-learning project, the Green Team collected dollar donations for "Heavenly Hats Day." Any staff or student who donated to the Heavenly Hats Organization could wear a hat for the day. The foundation collects donations to uprchase new hats of all kinds to those who lose their hair due to the treatment of cancer and many other medical conditions which may cause hair loss. A big thank you to the Alder family who participated in the this worthwhile cause!

Fall Sports Update

Girls' Soccer - The Girls Soccer Team defeated Lower Cape May on Thursday by a score of 3-2 to improve their record to 4 wins and 1 loss. Scoring a goal each were Angelina Horin, Alyssa Martinolich, and Aniyah Parker. Also playing great were Maya Per, Darcy Sanchez, Peyton Ballard, and Isabella Patel. Great job girls!!


Field Hockey - Last Thursday, the field hockey team tied Middle 0-0. On Friday, the team hosted Lower Cape May and won 5-0!


Cross Country - Next meet is next week at Cedar Creek with over 200 middle school enteries!
