Finish Strong
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Many of us have different family traditions in celebrating Thanksgiving. It was nice hearing the students share how they celebrate this day, and how thankful they are for their families and loved ones.
Whether your student is a digital learner or an in-person learner, you probably faced some challenges in the learning process. At no other time has the school and home connection been so very important. This time has shown how vital it is that we stay connected and in communication.
As educators, we are dedicated to maintaining a strong focus on learning and growing. We aim to help students learn more about who they are and how they want to make an impact on the world. We believe this is still necessary and we believe our students can change the world, even in a pandemic! We also want to keep our students motivated and inspired to keep learning during this time. As parents, you are trying to balance your own lives and households, while maintaining a commitment to seeing your child flourish and grow. This time has allowed us to see that the school/home relationship is a key element to keeping our students hopeful about the future. Thank you for all you do to pour hope and love into your children. We see it everyday in our classes!
As we end this semester, we want our students to finish strong. This means being in every class, every day and making up any missed assignments. Our teachers are working with students to create plans that are not overbearing, but ensure they master the main concepts of this semester. Final exams are also coming up soon. Students need to examine their eClass pages, organize all of their notes, and develop study plans for these exams.
Tutoring is always available and we are always a phone call away (770-448-3045). Call and ask for your grade level counselor. If your child has good grades, keep it up! If your child has some grades that need to increase, we are here to help them get back on track.
We will work together each day to help our students see the benefits of learning. Our children are our future and we want them to have all the opportunities of the world at their fingertips.
For the future,
Dr. Natalie Looney
