Reading: This week in reading we continued unit 3. Students continued writing their freaky frog essay this week by writing proof paragraph 2 (they were describing behavioral adaptations for their frog) and their conclusion. Students ended the week by giving peer feedback on each other’s essays and assessing themselves using their informative checklist in order to make revisions to their essays. Students also created a front and back cover for their freaky frog book and a table of contents. Students also continued working on a review playlist this week in class. Through this playlist students are reviewing poetry (figurative language, central message, and multiple meaning words), fables (recounting key events, identifying the central message), and nonfiction (using illustrations, identifying the main idea, and looking at how sentences and paragraphs are connected)
