Thank You!!

It is hard to believe that I am sitting here typing up the last newsletter of the year, and that your third graders are shortly going to be fourth graders! The year has flown by. As the song says, Don't Blink!

I am so very proud of each of my students. They have all grown in so many ways over the course of the last 180 days, academically, socially, emotionally. Not all days were easy, and we tackled those tough learning mountains together! There are other mountains for them to tackle, and I have no doubt that they will be successful!! I just hope as the years pass they all look back at 3rd grade and remember that their 3rd grade teacher loves and cares for them. I can't wait to see them grow as Cougars, and on into Millers!! Thank you for giving me the gift of being part of their worlds!! I am a blessed teacher!

Upcoming Week:

Tuesday is Field day. Students should come to school in tennis shoes and their neon Hinkle shirt. We will have rotations set up for students. They will travel from teacher to teacher playing the games. This will start at 9:15. It is suppose to be warm and sunny, so please spray your child with sun screen prior to school tomorrow. Thanks.

Tomorrow afternoon we will also sign yearbooks. I sent these home with kids last week. If you want them to have their friends and teachers sign, please return to school tomorrow. For those that do not have yearbooks, I have printed paper memory signature books to be signed. Many students also like to have their shirt signed by friends on this day. Please let your child know if this is okay with you or not. Thanks.

Wednesday is awards day. The 3-5 award day starts around 9:15. This will take most of the morning. 3rd graders are honored with perfect attendance and club awards. The fifth grade was will begin at 3:10.

We will spend the afternoon cleaning out cubbies and organizing the library and room for the summer. Please send your students with an empty backpack on this day so they can fit all their goodies. You will also be receiving a folder from me with summer learning ideas. I hope everyone has an amazing summer full of memories and fun!! I look forward to seeing the kids walk through the halls as 4th graders. Swing by 3rd grade often to visit!
