Dear Minges Brook Families,

The children have loved finally enjoying summer weather at recess this week! Next week, the forecast is back in the upper 60s and 70s. Please dress your students accordingly.

We have one more week of NWEA testing. The children have been trying their best to score in a range that shows how much they learned this year. Thank you for having them rested and ready to show how well they can do.

We had an unexpected visitor in the school today in the form of a beautiful bird. Ask your student about this!

Registration is an important part of the student scheduling process.

Please complete online registration for all students who will attend Lakeview schools next fall. Online registration takes about five minutes per student and must be completed each year.

Did you move or do you plan to move before next fall? Please update your address during the registration process. Students who move out of the district prior to next fall must complete a Schools of Choice application in order to return next school year. The Schools of Choice deadline is Tuesday, May 17. You can find additional information at lakeviewspartans.org/choice.

Athletic Summer Camp registration is now open to sign up your student(s) this summer!! Deadline is June 2, 2022.

The Registration Form and Insurance Waiver must be filled out and turned in to complete the process. Deadline is June 2, 2022.

This is a celebration of Asians and Pacific Islanders in the United States. May was chosen to commemorate the immigration of the first Japanese to the United States on May 7, 1843 and also to mark the anniversary of the completion of the transcontinental railroad on May 10, 1869. The majority of the workers were Chinese immigrants.

The Burma Center is offering a free event on May 15th, 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm. See the flyer below for more information.

Students can begin entering the building at 8:15 and walk to their classroom. Teaching and learning begins promptly at 8:25 am. Our staff is outside to ensure the students enter the building safely and to aid in moving traffic along in a timely manner. If you arrive past 8:30 and staff is no longer present outside, please enter the building and sign your student(s) in on the attendance log. Please do not leave your student(s) unattended.
