Jan. 30 - Feb. 3 Newsletter
Our Admirals took learning outside York's walls this week with 4th grade's trip to the Manatee Viewing Center, 5th grade's trip the Busch Garden's Animal Encounter Program, and 2nd/4th grade representatives' trip to Stempolooza at MOSI.
At Stempolooza, our 2nd grade students brought home two silver medals for the Primary Robot Coding Maze and Primary Design Challenge. Fourth grade brought home bronze medals for Lego Robotics and Design Challenge. We are so proud of our amazing STEM students!
Monday was York's first Intramural Track Meet. Students did an awesome job demonstrating the running skills they learned from our coaches, and spectators enjoyed a visit from the Kona Ice truck during the meet.
Thank you to all those who helped celebrate the 100th day of school with donations for Hope Lodge. The Relay for Life Team thanks you, as do the families of those impacted by cancer who find comfort in the Hope Lodge community.
Please remember: The Magnet Offer window closes TONIGHT at 11:59pm. Spread the word to any friends or family who applied to York and make sure they accept the offer, or they will lose their offer to become a York Admiral. Those who did not receive offers will automatically be placed in the 2nd Choice Round this spring. (Reminder, if your student already attends York, you do NOT need to re-apply, your student is set though grade 8!)
Our PTSA is in search of an individual with knowledge about installing engraved paver stones around campus. If you would like to donate your installation skill set or have a connection, please reach out to our PTSA by emailing president.dcyorkptsa@gmail.com.
