A Message from our Principal

April 27, 2021

Dear Holy Family Catholic School Community,

Last week I was a fulltime grandmother, enjoying time with the new member of our family, Emilia May. It gave me time to reflect on the many blessings of family life and how precious all of our children are. We are members of our Holy Family Catholic School and Church Community and the sacred nature of family life is woven into who we are, what we do, and what we value. Our Catholic Mission Committee is new this year and is committed to bringing more depth into our understanding of the Holy Family, please be on the lookout for future events coming from this committee. This year is the Year of St. Joseph, and May 1st is the Feast of St. Joseph the Worker, here is a prayer in his honor:

Hail, Guardian of the Redeemer,

Spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

To you God entrusted his only Son;

in you Mary placed her trust;

with you Christ became a man.

Blessed Joseph, to us too,

show yourself a father

and guide us in the path of life.

Obtain for us grace, mercy, and courage,

and defend us from every evil. Amen.

The faculty and staff are prayer companions for our second graders preparing for their First Communion. Please join us in prayer for our students who will be receiving their First Communion this weekend.

Fun Fridays, Snack Shack, and Thursday’s bingo lunch sessions have been a treat for our middle school students and have helped relieve the COVID blues. This Friday we will have movie night either on the field or in the library depending on the weather. We will keep you posted on the middle school events for Friday evening.

Thank you for your patience in waiting for us to publish next year’s HFCS calendar. We will send you the calendar once it is approved by the Diocese, which should be next week.

Blessings,

Ann Walters

Get Your FOREsome Together and Register Today!

Want to get involved with our tournament or just help the school with a fun event? Golfing, sponsoring, and volunteering is open to all so please spread the word. Here are some ways to participate and help out:

  • Play in the tournament (better yet, put together a foursome) and spread the word to anyone who may be interested in golfing
  • Buy a sponsorship or sell a sponsorship to your employers, friends, or local businesses
  • Donate an item or ask a local business to make a donation (items are used as prizes or are raffled at the event)
  • Volunteer on the day of the event – we can use all the help we can get to make the tournament run smoothly and nothing beats earning service hours at the golf course on a spring day
  • Volunteer to be on the tournament planning committee

To register, go to the event website: www.holyfamilygolf.org. To volunteer or if you have any questions, email us at holyfamilydadsclub@gmail.com or call Jack Price at 817-875-2307. We are so happy to be able to gather for an in-person event!
