Branden Magalhaes - Business and Career Teacher
Hello, my name is Branden Magalhaes. I have had an interest in education since I was in middle school. I continued to follow my dreams into college being accepted into the Mathematics program at UMass Dartmouth in hopes to one day be in the classroom. I quickly learned Mathematics just wasn't for me and I switched my major into the Business College as an Operations Management Degree where I found an incredible interest in the inner-workings of businesses and economics. After graduation, I found my paths crossing with a position working with Central Administration at another school district. I loved my time there and learned so many things but felt I was missing something. I began to research what it would take to become a teacher & soon after scheduled my first MTEL & enrolled in my master's program back at UMD. Before I knew it I was finally in the classroom. Teaching immediately provided me with the passion and fulfillment as I got to work with so many great students & colleagues. The classroom helped provide me with such incredible moments that led me into later Advising the YOG Class of '24 Club and Coaching Tennis in my second year.
