Principal's Message
We made it through the first week of school! Thanks to all the families and students for your patience and flexibility as we all adjust to our new routines. Although there is quite a bit to take in the first days, I am happy to report that our students did a fantastic job! I was happy to see their smiley faces back on campus! We shall continue to look for ways to expedite the drop off and pick up time and increase traffic safety.
Safety is always my number one priority, and here is how you can continue to help
- Park only in designated areas, if you are finding street parking on the opposite side of the school on Charter, pls teach your child to use the crosswalk to get to the school side, children should not be running across the street as we have moving traffic.
- Please slow down as you drive through Charter street
- Continue to get here on time for drop off and pick up
- Do not use the Parking (On Stambaugh Street) as this space is set aside for teachers and staff only and they need to get to their classroom right away
- Continue to follow directions given by our yard duties during drop off and pick up
- If you can walk your children to school, please do so
- You may also use park in the back by Hilton Street, but you will still need to enter the school through Charter Street, do not enter through the gym or through the back of the school, as entry is restricted due to COVID (parking on gym space is limited to 20 mins)
- Make sure that your child continues to bring his/her form, all students received enough copies of the form on Friday to be used for the following week.

- Make sure that you take your child temperature at home, prior to arriving to school, if your child is showing cold symptoms (i.e. cough, runny nose, fever, etc) please keep him/her at home and leave a voicemail in our office (650-482-2408)
- RCPD will continue to patrol the streets around Hoover until things settle a bit
- Do not double park and block the street
- For health safety issues parents are not allowed on campus, you will need to drop off your child at his/her designated school gate on Charter street and a yard duty will take him/her to their designated area
Other important info
- Breakfast and lunch will be available for all children for free throughout the year, your child will have the choice to have breakfast upon arrival to school in the morning, or have it during recess time. I strongly suggest that your child gets breakfast at home, he/she will then get a snack at recess time and lunch at his/her designated time.
BACK TO REGULAR SCHEDULE BEGINNING ON AUGUST 23RD
We are resuming normal schedule beginning Monday August 23rd, the schedule will be as follows, please read carefully. I am also attaching a link to our bell schedule, please take a picture of it and keep it on your cell phone.
TK, Kinder: Start Time 8:15, Dismissal Time 2pm
First Grade: Start Time 8:15, Dismissal Time 2:25pm
2nd and 3rd Grade: Start Time 8:30, Dismissal Time 2:40pm
4th and 5th grade: Start Time 8:30, Dismissal Time 3pm
6th, 7th and 8th grade: Start Time 8:45, Dismissal Time 3:10pm
Beginning on Monday August 23rd, our afterschool program (Boys and Girls Club) schedule will also return to normal, dismissal time will be 6pm.

Roadmap to Learning Safely During My New School Year
Student Education Benefit Form,
If you have not done so, please fill out the form above for the 2021-22 school year, because all students will get free lunches, the district will not collect the usual Free or Reduced-Price Meal (FRPM) Applications. Instead, the district will ask households to complete the above Student Education Benefit Form (click on link above) to survey household income.
