LAST WEEK OF SCHOOL
Thursday is the last day of school. We are all very sad that we were not together in person during this last quarter. Thank you for working hard and learning distance learning together. Stay safe and enjoy the summer months. We will see you in August!
ELEMENTARY SCHOOL VIRTUAL ART SHOW
We were unable to have our art show at the museum this year, so Ms. Carrasco created a virtual art show. Enjoy the amazing work our students created.
END OF YEAR INFORMATION
We would like to thank everyone for working so hard while distance learning. If you plan on returning in the fall, please keep your iPad, iPad charger and any textbooks over the summer and bring them back to school when we return. Non-returning students should contact the school for arrangements. School library books may be returned to the public library. All belongings left at the school will be distributed in the fall as well. If there is something you need to get from the school before the fall, please contact Mrs. Duda (657-4030).
REGISTRATION
Please make sure to complete registration for the 2020-2021 school year as soon as possible. Students who are registered will be placed in classes for next year and will be notified of their new teacher in June.
NEXT YEAR
Our plan for next year was to follow a looping model. This means that students would have the same teacher two years in a row. We were planning to make that change this year so students in 1st grade, 3rd grade, and 5th grade would continue to the next grade with the teacher they have this school year. The elementary staff started preparing for this in February, but due to the current situation, we were not able to complete the necessary preparations for this plan. We feel that it is best for students if we follow our current classroom structure at this time.
SCHOOL SUPPLIES & TECHNOLOGY
We will continue to purchase supplies in bulk and have them ready for students when they arrive on the first day of school. The supply fee for K-6 students is $25.00.
The technology fee is $25.00 for K-6 students.
Both fees can be paid on-line. Please contact the elementary school office if you have any questions (657-4030).
SUMMER READING
Reading frequently is one of the most important things a student can do to ensure they progress academically. Please encourage your child to read at least 20 minutes every day. It is also great if an adult or an older sibling reads to your child.
