Keller Cares - Nov. 17
Keller Cares is the name of a district program that is designed to educate students on how to manage overwhelming emotions, and what to do if they are thinking about suicide.
The students will watch a 12-minute video that the Keller Cares team created to help them understand what to do if they are struggling with this topic. We are providing two opportunities for parents to preview the video before it is presented to the students in their advisory classes on November 17th.
The video will be presented to parents on Thursday, November 11th at 8:00 am and 4:00 pm. At the conclusion of the video, we will be open to answering any questions.
If you do NOT wish for your child to see the video, please click on the link below and return the opt-out form to the counseling office. If we do not hear from you, we will assume your child has permission to watch the video.

TMS 2022 Yearbook is looking for pictures!
The last day to purchase a personalized yearbook ad for your student is January 7th. Please see www.yearbookforever.com for more details and to purchase your 2022 yearbook!
Is your student involved in any outside of school activities like club sports, orchestra, or dance? Do they participate in any volunteer opportunities? If they do, please email abigail.hunter@kellerisd.net information about what they participate in or volunteer for by December 18th for a chance to be featured in the 2022 yearbook.
Bobby Bragan - 8th grade $2,500 Scholarship Opportunity
The Bobby Bragan Youth Foundation scholarship program is designed to recognize eighth graders who demonstrate that they are exceptional students through their scholastic achievements, athletic accomplishments, and participation in extracurricular and community activities. The scholarship committee recognizes that not all applicants are interested or involved equally in all these areas and respects these individual differences. The application and essay (500-700 words) must be handwritten and legible.
The subject of your essay should be a person who is an inspiration to you. Be sure to clearly define his or her character, attributes, ethics, values, accomplishments, or anything else as it relates to you. This is an opportunity for you to demonstrate your knowledge of world affairs, history, sports, etc. You may choose to write about a family member or friend, but you should have compelling reasons for having chosen someone who is not in the public domain.
