Leaders Together, Talking, and Transforming Cities & Culture
Whose Mission is this anyway?
When God gives us a vision and a mission, it's easy to get sidetracked and distracted into thinking it's OUR mission. When that happens, we lose sight of seeking God in every detail of our ministry.
Who is Salwa Kasabian?
Salwa Kasabian, founder and director of Folsom’s Hope, has been married to her husband Dennis for 20 years, and is a mother of three children. An “at home mom” since the birth of her first child fifteen years ago, it has been in the last 7 years that God has opened the opportunity to create needed programs within her childrens’ schools. She is the founder and program manager for three mentoring programs (at Theodore Judah Elementary, Blanche Sprentz Elementary and Sutter Middle School). She was also the catalyst for the creation of the Folsom STARS after school program in 2009 at Theodore Judah Elementary School, and currently acts as the program’s community outreach specialist. Salwa received her BA in History in 1991, her MA in International Relations in 1993, and obtained a Paralegal Certificate in 1998.
