Camp Half-Blood Cell Analogy

by Christina Carlson Based off of the books by Rick Riordan

Nectar and Ambrosia are like the mitochondria because they give the campers energy.

Endoplasmic Reticulum

Blackjack is like the endoplasmic reticulum because he transports Percy to where he needs to go.

The strawberries are like ribosomes because they are found all over strawberry field.

Golgi Bodies

Hermes is like the golgi bodies because he takes things where they need to go.

Leo's tool belt is like vacuoles because it stores things that the seven may need for later. (except for the stupid fortune cookie)

Monsters are like lysosomes because they break down after they die.

Cell Membrane

The border around the camp is like the cell membrane because it keeps monsters and mortals from coming inside the camp.

Chiron is like the nucleus because he is the center of the camp and without him everything would be messed up.
