Mission Statement
To educate, challenge and inspire every student to achieve personal success and become a confident contributor to society.
Vision Statement
Happy Friday Families
We hope you're enjoyed your remaining Summer weeks. Our Roundup is packed with important information. Please review it carefully and reach out for clarification on anything that leaves you wondering.
Please contact the Main Office with questions or concerns at 734-744-2775.
Please join us this afternoon if you can for...Freeze pops with the Principal. I'll be out on the blacktop under the awning from 1-2 pm with some cool treats for anyone who would like to stop over and catch up.
DROP OFF AND PICK UP MAPS
As every year, parents/families may not park in the loop! Please remain in your vehicle until your child arrives. If you are able to secure a parking spot and walk up, that is an option. We strongly recommend establishing a routine that does not require you to park and exit your vehicle, especially at dismissal.
The Kindergarten loop is designated for Kindergarten exclusively. Grades 1-4 must use the back loop as assigned.
Please be patient during the first few weeks of school as our routines are being established. We will have a GREAT overall experience if we work together.
Blessings in a Backpack
Blessings in a Backpack-Livonia is an all-volunteer program designed to provide students who are in need with enough food for three meals a day during the weekends. If you participate in this program, your child will receive a bag at the end of every week of school (Thursday or Friday) filled with non-perishable food for the weekend. There is no cost to you for participating in this program. No further information is required. Your information will not be shared. If you would like to have your child participate in this program, fill out and submit the form using the link below as soon as possible. We are requesting your name and email address, so that a confirmation of registration will be emailed to you. Delivery will begin the week of September 13th.
https://forms.gle/VNJbU83y2LgjMxNf8
If your child participated in the program last year, we do need a new enrollment form for this school year.
Currently, we are providing prepackaged bags so we are unable to customize for allergies or religious dietary needs. We apologize for any inconvenience.
****You will need to complete a separate form for each child that you wish to enroll.****
If you have any additional questions, please feel free to email us at biablivonia@gmail.com

Action Required -- Fall Re-enrollment Update
Dear LPS Families,
In recent years, LPS initiated an online process that replaces the traditional practice of sending “pink emergency cards” home for a parent's signature. The electronic completion of our Fall Enrollment Confirmation is an annual start-of-the-year requirement for each child currently enrolled in an LPS school. This must be completed for new and returning students.
Parents must access the electronic Fall Enrollment Confirmation through Parent Connect for the 2022-2023 school year. The Fall Enrollment Confirmation tab (in red, located in the upper right corner of screen) on Parent Connect has been activated and will allow parents/guardians to directly edit items such as emergency contact information and student health information. Other requirements include parental confirmations of items such as internet usage rules, medical authorization, and a student handbook review.
PLEASE USE A COMPUTER (NOT A CELL PHONE) TO COMPLETE THE FALL ENROLLMENT CONFIRMATION.
Please take a few moments before the school year begins to complete the confirmation. Although many will find the update process self-explanatory, the attachment provides step-by-step instructions.
FALL RE-ENROLLMENT INSTRUCTIONS
Sincerely,
William Green, Director of Elementary Programs
Kevin Etue, Director of Secondary Programs

AUGUST DIALOG
The August edition of the district’s Dialog newsletter will NOT be mailed to households, due to continued supply shortages in the paper industry. The Dialog is posted on the front of the LPS website and is attached below. Please read through this important edition for back-to-school information.
DISTRICT CALENDAR UPDATE
The 2022-2023 District Calendar is posted on the district’s website, under the Our District tab and is attached below. Please note: There is a change for the October Professional Development Day. It is now October 3rd (previously published as October 5th). School-based calendars for events, etc. will be posted and distributed by your school(s).
FREE OR REDUCED PRICE MEALS
The universal free meals program has been discontinued by the federal government for this school year. If you think that your family may qualify for “free or reduced price meals,” please fill out the application that is linked HERE. By doing so now, you will be ready to go at the start of the school year. For more information, visit the LPS Food & Nutrition Services webpage HERE.
BUS REQUESTS DUE NOW!
If your student qualifies for bus service, please visit Parent Connect as soon as possible to request service. Go to the Transportation tab in Parent Connect for each of your students to make the request by clicking “yes” or “no.” We urge all families who have not already done so, to request as soon as possible, so all bus routes can be finalized.
FALL RE-ENROLLMENT CONFIRMATION
Last week, we sent an email to inform you that the “Fall Re-enrollment Update” needs to be completed by all families for each student before the school year begins. This replaces the traditional paper copy of the “pink emergency card” and it is critical that all information is updated. To access the Updates, log in to your Parent Connect account and click on the red text “Fall Re-Enrollment Confirmation.” Please update all sections in the portal. Thank you for your assistance. If you have trouble signing in to Parent Connect, please email parentconnect@livoniapublicschools.org.
CROSSING GUARDS NEEDED
Crossing guards needed! The Livonia Police Department and Westland Police Department are looking for crossing guards to assist LPS students at key intersections throughout the district. If you are interested, please contact the Livonia PD via email to adam.kalza@livoniapd.com or Westland PD via email to maldini@wlpd.net.
BUS DRIVERS, ETC. NEEDED
LPS is hiring bus drivers, noon monitors, early childhood staff and more. If you are interested in working while your child is in school, please visit the LPS Careers page by clicking HERE.
Note: Wages have increased for bus drivers. Training rate is $16/hour and the regular hourly rates range from $19/hour to $24/hour.
