School Spotlight - Special Guests
Sunset Ranch had the pleasure of showing off our instructional expertise, PTC funded programs, and outstanding students this week when a few special guests stopped by.
Community & Govt
Proud Sunset Ranch parent and Rocklin's own Vice Mayor, Joe Patterson, popped by 2nd grade on Tuesday this last week to answer the essential question, "Why do we need a government?" to help round out a social studies unit. He was quoted as saying Mrs. Knapp's room were his toughest constituents yet!
He Came, He Saw, We Impressed!
Superintendent Roger Stock came for a visit on Thursday. He was impressed by the instructional strategies used by our teachers to engage students in learning. Once a Coyote...
ALWAYS a coyote! Even though he works from the district office now, Dr. MacDonald, our former principal, still comes to visit us now and again. As the Director of Elementary Programs and School Leadership, he checks in on instruction and guides as we continue to increase student achievement. On Wednesday, he enjoyed reconnecting with our students and listening to some explain their writing on Chromebooks.
The blue has it! More Facebook LIVE stories read by Ms. Hopton are coming your way!
It's the LAST WEEK of the September Attendance Awareness Month Challenge!
When the WHOLE class is on time and stays all day (no tardies, no early outs, no absences) for 10 days out of the month, they are one step closer to earning something fun! Mrs. Autrey's class has already won... whose class will be next?
Virtual Backpack
Each week, flyers that would have taken money & supplies to print and time to count out & distribute are placed on the VB on the school website. This is where many of our community partners advertise after school clubs, sports, child care and more.
