Foundation for Fort Mill Schools - Request for help - Please Read!!

The Foundation for Fort Mill Schools is an essential resource connecting students, teachers and the community in the Fort Mill School District. The Foundation promotes academic excellence through direct financial support of projects, activities, educational assistance and professional development.

To date, over $50,000 in Innovative Classroom Projects, Professional Development, and Technology opportunities have been funded and over $70,000 has been awarded in college scholarships. Through Charitable Events (TEC Dowling Memorial Golf Tournament and the Chili Cookoff), and Community Partnerships, the Foundation funds Grants, Scholarships, and the Classroom Ready initiative which provides students and teachers with much-needed supplies.

In short, this is an organization that has a direct, positive impact on our Fort Mill School District Students, Parents, and Staff.

This is why I ask each of you to do the following, so we can increase awareness and support for the Foundation:

  1. "Like" the Foundation's Facebook Page:
  2. Follow the Foundation on Twitter: @FFMSnews
  3. Share this message with your Staff and Parents and encourage them to do the same via their weekly communications.

TDAP - for rising 7th graders (Current 6th graders)

6th Grade (rising 7th) Health Information:

As of August 2013, South Carolina requires that ALL seventh graders receive the Tdap vaccine to protect them against whooping cough (pertussis). It is a state law that documentation be on file at GHMS.

It is not too early to start scheduling your appointments now! Please ask that your physician complete a SOUTH CAROLINA Immunization form. North Carolina physicians are able to do this, but you must specify. Turn in forms to Staci Hyde, GHMS School Nurse. This has been a major undertaking for us to collect the required documentation. Your assistance with this is greatly appreciated. For any questions call the GHMS health room at 803-548-8313 or e-mail .
