If you would like to participate, please email me at: Dkellie@agcharter.org. no later than Wednesday, May, 31st.
***Please remember that all parent volunteers must have their clearances in the main office.***
Speakers Needed for AGCS 4-6 Career Day
Calling all careers! Our annual 4th -6th grade Career Day is scheduled to be held on Wednesday, May 31st and I am looking for some parent/community volunteers who are willing to come in to speak to groups of 4th – 6th grade students (consisting of approximately 25 students per group) about their careers. You would be presenting from 8:00am-11:00am for roughly 25 minute sessions.
We would love for the students to hear about different careers, education/training needed and to overall understand the relevance of academic learning to the tasks they might someday perform in the working world. It is a great experience for the students to learn about and explore the many different careers that exist. We encourage any hands on materials that may represent your career and that you are willing to share with the students.
In preparing for this exciting day, I will need to know if you would be willing to come in and talk to the students about your career. (Please note – due to career interests/numbers, you may not be speaking to the grade level that your child/children are in.) If you are interested, please complete the form below and return it to me by May 5th.
If you have any further questions please contact Alyson Szabo via e-mail at aszabo@agcharter.org. I greatly appreciate all of your help in making our school a great place to learn, our students really do LOVE this event and look forward to it every year!
