Relationships
The famous poet Maya Angelou said, "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel."
The video below shares a few perspectives from people on what the world would be like without teachers. Many of the perspectives were created by relationships each person had with an educator. As you begin another week of intentional instruction, add some intentional interactions that will accelerate the sense of belonging and trust for students in our learning environment especially since we will be headed out for Spring Break!

Sharing our Ponies with our School Board of Trustees
We will have members of our School Board and our District visiting our campus on Monday morning, March 9th. What a great opportunity to showcase all of the great work each of you are doing! Let's celebrate our successes.
On Monday night, we will have two students lead the Board in the Texas and American pledge. Our amazing counselors will also be honored for receiving the C.R.E.S.T. Award last month!

Gear Up for our Staff Learning and STAAR Training!
AM Training - All Tutors, Cafeteria Staff, Janitorial Staff will be trained at 9:30 AM in the library.
PM Training - All K-5 teachers, Instructional Coaches, Instructional Support, Counselors, and Office Staff.
All certified staff will remain for the entire training. Non-Certified staff will receive a review of the security portion of the training and then be dismissed.
Early Release
The following dates/times have been designated by Dr. Rogers and the Leadership Team as early release dates for LISD staff, for the 2019-2020 school year.
- Friday, October 11: 1 hour early release
- Friday, December 20: 2 hour early release
- Friday, March 13: 1 hour early release
Note: Since we will be staying until 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday instead of our regular 4:30 p.m. meeting end time, everyone is welcome to leave 1.5 hours early on Friday. :-)
Lewisville ES 10 Year Anniversary
As you are aware, this is Lewisville Elementary's 10 Year Anniversary. We are planning a staff celebration on Friday, March 13th from 12:30 to 1:30. This is an early release day for students, and appetizers will be served. We will honor those from our Pony family who opened the campus ten years ago. We will also host special guests including former administrators, Ms. Litchfield and members of the Lewisville ISD School Board.
Let’s all wear our 10 year anniversary school shirts on this special day.
Prevention! Wash Hands - Wash Hands - Wash Hands
We are being encouraged to treat the coronavirus with the same precautions that we take for the flu.
- Wash hands frequently with soap and water - Students may use Sanitizer if soap and water are not available.
- Keep reminding students to cover their coughs.
Students are required to be fever free for 24 hours before coming back to school. *Teachers and staff are also required to be fever free for 24 hours before returning to school.
Students may not use any type of disinfectant wipes or other products to clean areas in the classroom. The use of clorox wipes, lysol or other products are not allowed when the the students are present.
