Definition relating to story:
The definition of evil is doing something immoral and really wrong. In the story " The Lottery" evil is taken place. It is taken place when she gets stoned because that is their tradition. This is a great example of pure evil. in " The Possibility of Evil" evil is evident when Miss. Strangeworth is writing anonymous letters to people, which are unkind.

This story is an example of Jackson's style because the lottery was suppose to be a good thing, but it ended up in death. The people didn' it was a tradition that everyone thought was good. Shirley's stories are like this surprising.
"What a Thought"
This story is also an example of Jackson's style because, she had these crazy thoughts, about killing her husband. Jackson was like this in real life she had thoughts that nobody else had. This teaches us that people could seem very nice & okay on the outside, but inside of them there could be something wrong mentally.

Lastly, "The Possibility of Evil" is a clear example of Jackson's writing style because her stories are all strange and weird. For example in this story Miss.Strange-worth is weird because she is writing anonymous letters to people in her town. She thinks that in the town she is secret and nobody knows her.
