Scott Jennings, a teacher at Edgemont Elementary, is the latest recipient of the Provo Way Award. Starting September 2023, Provo City School District will be changing medical insurance to offer a much broader network for contracted employees and their dependents.

For: Math Teachers
If you are a math teacher who attended the Number Talks workshops and have been using TeachFX, remember to submit all work to qualify for your stipend by Friday, May 19. The LETRS stipend deadline is quickly approaching. In order to qualify for this stipend, all work needs to be complete by May 15.
Completion Includes:
- Attendance at all Virtual Training Sessions
- Completion of all online modules with Unit average scores of 80% or higher.
- Completion of Bridge to Practice
- Completion of the pre and post test

Getting closer to retirement brings up so many questions with your health insurance. Provo City School District has a great relationship with Senior Benefits, our retiree insurance broker, that can help you with your questions and enrolling into Medicare. The PCSD Innovative Learning Summit will be held on May 30-31 and will feature expert presenters from across the state for two days of learning and collaboration, with an optional third day for application. For: Math Teachers
The Utah Council of Teachers of Mathematics would like to share the success of their annual conference with math teachers throughout the state of Utah by hosting our first UCTM Materials Grant! This grant gives all K-12 teachers of Utah who teach, coteach, or support teaching of mathematics, an opportunity to infuse their classrooms with up to $1500 of instructional materials. ASM Materials Camp®-Teachers is a free, week-long, idea-generating workshop introducing teachers to methods that make math and core science principles more enticing and relevant to their middle and high school students. Materials topics are great motivators in any engineering, technology or science course as students learn concepts that are reflected in their everyday lives.
Teachers leave our camps able to engage students using simple, low-cost experiments that integrate into existing lesson plans. post exp.5.26

The Utah Legislature has allocated funding to the Utah State Board of Education (USBE) to use to incentivize educators across the state to achieve endorsements in the STEM subjects.
