Before Too Long
The importance of clean water
- Fresh water is one of our most vital resources, and when our water is polluted it is not only devastating to the environment, but also to human health
Clean, safe drinking water is scarce. Today, nearly 1 billion people in the developing world don't have access to it. Yet, we take it for granted, we waste it, and we even pay too much to drink it from little plastic bottles.
Nigeria
- 2,000 children under the age of five die every day
- More than 3.4 million people die each year from water, sanitation, and hygiene-related causes. Nearly all deaths, 99 percent, occur in the developing world
